Ken Kreisel - The Choice of Professionals
The world’s top studios, producers, engineers, directors, composers, and sound designers use and rely on speakers and subwoofers designed by Ken Kreisel to create the sound for some of the World’s biggest blockbuster movies and popular music albums. Does movies such as Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Pearl Harbor, Black Hawk Down, The Incredibles (and more), ring any bell? These movies have received Oscar nominations with the best sound mix… with products designed by Ken Kreisel.
Does your home entertainment system deserve anything less?
We strongly recommend that you read the TIMELINE of Ken Kreisel and you will be blown away of his achievements. We don’t need to state anything else. You judge.
Ken Kreisel's new dual 8" 3D Push-Pull-Pulsar MX-700 Mk3, a slightly scaled down version of the new MX-5000 Mk3, Like Father Like Son, the identical 750+ watt RMS balanced drive dual-monoblock cross-coupled amplifiers, the same signature Ken Kreisel sound/performance, with dual 8" HIGH VELOCITY DEEP BASS drivers.
Push-Pull construction
MX-700mk3 has dual 8" drivers of the "High Velocity Deep Bass" type which will give you fast, dynamic, strong and deep bass. This is the trademark of Ken Kreisel where bass is performed with extreme control and depth, even when pushed very hard. The drivers are configured in a Push-Pull design and it basically means that the externally mounted woofer is firing outward into the room, the internally mounted woofer is firing into the cabinet. Conversely, as the externally mounted woofer is firing into the cabinet, the internally mounted woofer is firing into the room. This firing arrangement cancels reactive forces in the woofers and also drastically reduces even order (particularly the 2nd order) harmonic distortion. This allows a considerably higher clean output than a conventional firing arrangement.
Claridy amplifier
The MX-700mk3 is powered by the brand new and beefy Claridy amplifier which is a 750+ watt (2200W peak) Dual Push-Pull Cross-Coupled Monoblock Claridy Class D amp. It has gone through some extreme benchmark tests over the two years development which will give customers many years of failure free use, even used under a lot of stress over a longer time.
The Claridy amplifier offers both XLR and RCA connections and with XLR you can pass-through the signal to the next subwoofer if you are going to use Ken Kreisels 3D Push-Pull-Pulsar concept. Variable phase, gain control, internal crossover and auto-on features are of course onboard.
3D Push-Pull-Pulsar concept
If you are searching for the optimal system within the world of bass, the 3D Push-Pull-Pulsar concept has to be it. To achieve the Push-Pull-Pulsar system you will need to stack 2 or 4 subwoofers and every second subwoofer will be turned upside down. In a configuration like this you will achieve a mechanically resonance free system which will improve the sound quality and gain headroom for the most bass demanding minds out there.
3D Push-Pull-Pulsar subwoofer system will be enormously beneficial for music as well.
High Velocity Deep Bass drivers
The drivers are KEN KREISEL PROFESSIONAL SOUND low-mass long-throw HIGH VELOCITY DEEP BASS design using a very strong long fiber pulp blend cone material for maximum strength and rigidity and minimum mass with a specialized coating treatment on the front of the cone. The dust cap is also made using a long fiber pulp blend with a specialized treatment on the front. The combination of cone angle and dust cap diameter, shape and geometry have been selected for near perfect piston emulation and maximum cone area for efficiency, and controlled high velocity characteristics in both inward and outward directions.
The carefully designed, shaped, and custom molded surround is made from a select NBR formulation (NITRILE RUBBER-acrylonitrile-butadiene copolymer) for minimum mass and maximum linearity and ideal "silent high dynamic motion" characteristics plus excellent thermal stability. It does require some initial driver "break-in time" for best performance, usually several hours of very heavy use.
The spider is made using a special blend of cotton and pure NOMEX for extreme linearity and low mass and high strength and durability.
The magnetic structure uses an optimized undercut T-style pole piece design and an optimized aluminum shorting ring, all for maximum magnetic field linearity and symmetry for reduced distortion and controlled driver inductance.
The ultra high temperature voice coil is precision wound on a black anodized aluminum bobbin for maximum cooling and uses asymmetrical centering to assure optimized magnetic field symmetry necessary for low distortion and optimized and fine tuned using a laser guided Klippel measurement system and state-of-the-art FEA (Finite Element Analysis) electromagnetic field simulation software. Further voice coil cooling is accomplished by a unique airflow maximizer design whereby optimized cone perforations behind the dust cap forces hot air to exhaust and cool air to draw in around the voice coil with absolute minimum air turbulence, resulting in an extremely well cooled and yet "quiet" driver with superb power handling characteristic with very minimal high power thermal compression for greater dynamic range.
