Featuring RCA and XLR (balanced) stereo I/O jacks, a fully adjustable (slope and frequency) crossover, dual-band PEQs, and even digital line level speaker delay, this conservatively rated 400 watt per channel stereo sub amp has state-of-the art DSP technology customized for the Legato system. Wrapped it all in an elegant, lightweight, and attractive chassis with CNC’d billet aluminum faceplate and premium binding posts.

Integrated base-plate with down-firing woofer
The articulate and detailed bass waves emanating from that high-efficiency Plus woofer propagate uniformly into the listening area from the integrated base-plate. The base-plate provides a consistent and uniform radiating surface, eliminating variables which could be introduced by various flooring materials and carpeting - ensuring nothing gets between that Plus woofer and your discriminating ears.
A quartet of the exclusive machined wood dowels rigidly couple the Legato subwoofer to the base-plate. And you won't find hard plastic feet or metal spikes that will vibrate under your SVS subwoofer - instead the default mounting configuration is a set of compliant disks, perfectly suited for wood, vinyl, tile flooring, or carpeting. The Legato floor interface solution is yet another example of "form follows function" at SVS. The cylinder design is one of the most efficient and purposeful "form factors" in the entire audio industry.
Exclusive SVS triple port variable tuning system
A total of 6 impressively sculpted 3" wide-flare ports flares reside both inside and stylishly revealed on the top of your Legato subs. It's part of SVS's unique variable tuning system.
SVS ports are precision molded to mount flush with serrated seals, and flanked by enhanced black laminated end-caps (1.5" thick). You will want to keep peeking under the specially damped 15" black mesh grill top just to see them.
If you think these look like highly engineered bass tuning ports... you'd be right. How they work when coupled with the premium woofers is something SVS customers appreciate immediately, and often years down the road as one's audio rooms change and systems evolve.
Want even deeper bass than stock? Take just a few seconds, pop off that elegant grill and insert one of the included foam "port blockers" and you have taken your subwoofer 4Hz lower in "tune" (from native 20hz tuning to 16hz). With just one knob, select your new tuning configuration on the slim rack or stack ready STA-800H amp's Intelligent Feature Controller (IFC). Or, get the true sub sound many purists crave by picking that the "Sealed" setting, and dropping in all three plugs. SVS variable tuning, perfect for those intent on tweaking their sound just as they want for their room.
