AS-EQ1 update!

Even though the AS-EQ1 already in its present state is heralded as ”the best subwoofer equalizer on the market” by acclaimed Stereophile,

fortunately SVS sees this as no reason to rest on their laurels. Those who already know SVS, know that their way is to improve whatever can be improved, and no product, even though it is the leading product on the market, is sheltered.

The AS-EQ1 offers power and precision at a level above what other room correction units on the market embeds. This precision is now increased by 100 % in that the filter resolution is doubled, and by that the AS-EQ1 moves further into a class of its own.

This upgrade and several others included in this update, is available for both new and existing customers, and all for free.

SubEQ 3.2 includes new features and bug fixes from SubEQ 3.1.  These include:
 

• Support for Windows Vista 64-bit OS.  This extends formal Windows platform support to include XP, Vista-32 bit and Vista 64-bit.  Windows 7 32/64 is currently being certified however early tests indicate no issues.
• Updated Level Measurement Method.  The Level Matching function now uses the “C-weighted Leq method” and supports a Reset button.  Leq is essentially a running average of the sound level as calculated over the measurement period.
• New Level Matching procedure for MultEQ-equipped Receivers and Processors.
• Updated firmware for AS-EQ1 DSP.
• Filter resolution doubled over previous firmware.
• Certificate graphing bug fixed in Vista.
   

Please download and thoroughly read the AS-EQ1_SubEQ_3.2_Update_Technical_Note before beginning the update process as it requires a re-calibration of the AS-EQ1 and if using an Audyssey MultEQ-equipped receiver/processor, a re-calibration of that unit as well.
