Adcom to Scandinavia and UK!

For  many years now we have been  searching for high quality electronics which will fit our concept and customers perfectly, meaning high quality at a reasonable price. We have looked at many different candidates in the last couple of years but without finding exactly what we were looking for.  Finally, we are proud to announce that our search is over.

It isn’t just any brand; it is the highly respected manufacturer Adcom we have gotten our claws on.  Adcom has designed and manufactured high quality products since the 70’s and their concept have always been to offer more than the competition for the price. This is something we like here at L-Sound when we had our extensive search for electronics. Adcom has also been one of the pioneers in the US for electronics.

Brief history...
Adcome came out with their first power amplifier in December 1979, the GFA-1. It was at the time remarkable good and a kind of new way doing electronics as they were one of the first manufacturers doing separate power amps and pre-amps. The GFA-1 was more powerful and refined than the competition and for the price it was a bargain. It was only the first step of many from Adcom.

The GFA-555 became a strong milestone for Adcom. It was one of Adcoms most successful products since 1985 as it was introduced. It was and it is a very popular amplifier around the world and today you can get it in a “special edition”, GFA-555SE. The GFA-5500 is an even more advanced and costly built amplifier than the GFA-555SE.

Basically Adcom is low priced but it should be compared with more expensive products. This is high quality products which can contribute to Hifi and Hi-End systems!

Adcom is a manufacturer with a long experience in electronics  and their failure rate is extremely low. They are known to deliver products which will last year after year without any problems. Their products have been a reference for many customers in US for decades.

Amplifiers, AV-receivers, processors etc.
Adcom doesn’t only deliver high quality power amplifiers. They manufacture a wide range of products but they are per today in a transition of new products.
